About the editors

RUTH TOOR was the library media specialist at Southern Boulevard School in Chatham, New Jersey for 29 years. She is now a library media consultant. Active in the American Library Association (ALA), she is a Past President of the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), and is currently a member of ALA's Committee on Legislation and Chair of its Grassroots Subcommittee. She is the Internship Adviser for Professional Development Studies at Rutgers University's School of Communication, Information, and Library Studies.

HILDA K. WEISBURG, a library media specialist at Morristown High School in Morristown, New Jersey has retired after 31 years. Active in the American Association of School Librarians, she is currently on its board as Region II Director. She serves on the advisory boards for major reference and electronic database publishers.

RUTH TOOR and HILDA K. WEISBURG have written eleven books. They have both served as consultants for district-level projects, have taught graduate courses, and have made presentations at AASL national conferences as well as state and county conferences around the United States.
